Can I make an account?

Currently only owners of Ixles have accounts created for them to manage their Ixles.

What are Ixles?

Ixles are tiny little critters who are extremely loyal pets. Regardless of their outward appearance, they will not hesitate to protect something/someone they love. In this regard, they are perfect to protect your ponies; more than happy to share a stable with them and keep an eye out in case any troubles come their way.

So, these Ixles hatch from eggs?

That's right. When you receive an egg, you can guess at the colour of that particular Ixle. But bear in mind, nothing about the egg will tell you about what type you can get. Eggs will hatch between 5 to 14 days.

Happiness? Whut?

Happiness is, well, how happy your Ixle is! They gain happiness when people check them out, and keep in mind that if they don't get any attention (clicks), they might get lonely and grumpy!

You can boost your Ixle's mood by feeding them. Each feed will cost you 10 shards, and you are limited to 5 feedings every 12 hours.

What's these shards and gems?

Shards and gems are the currency of PwniePets. When your Ixles are happy, they will scour the place looking for more shards for you. But beware! Grumpy ones may throw away a few of your shards in a tantrum, so keep 'em happy!

100 shards is equal to 1 gem.

Is there a limit to how many Ixles I can have?

Nope! But you do have a limit as to how many Ixles can be active. Currently this stands at 4. Any more Ixles, and you will need to freeze them.

What does freezing do?

When you freeze a pet, its mood will not drop at all. However, they will not be able to help you find shards.

How can I get more Ixles?

Keep an eye out for them in the PonyIsland Adoptables forum. There will usually be some giveaways, events and contests where you will be able to win one. Sometimes they pop up in the store, though that's rare.

Also of note, Ixles do not breed, so you cannot get them that way. They are generally genderless as they are formed within the confines of a lab. However, through use of special potions and items, you may change the Ixle into a different colour, a different variation of that particular Ixle, or actually change species.

So! Ixles are continuously being created, so watch out for more different types!
